REQUEST FREE ESTIMATE

The Estimate Process

After you contact us, you should get a call back from a project manager within 24-48 hours to set up an estimate time to look at the home. It is usually best if you are home so we can peak our head into the attic or look at any stains that are caused by water leaks.

During the estimate we walk with you around the home and try to get as much information as possible about the history of the home and the roof. If you have any information on the previous roof that was put on or notes made by home inspectors, that always helps out the process. After the walkthrough we will talk about some recommendations, and generally make sure we are on the same page as far as what you are looking for out of the roof experience. Depending on what your long term plans with the property are, there are different types of roofs and details we can put on. We do not "hard sell" at C.D. Northwest, and you are encouraged to get other bids during the process.

With-in 3-5 business days you will receive the bid. Bids can be delivered via Postal Service, as Word or PDF documents, or hand delivered with sample boards -- whichever is your preference.

After you make a decision on the job we collect a material deposit to be paid to our supplier. On most jobs this is in the 40%-50% range.

We will then schedule a date to both load the roof and, if we are tearing off, place the drop box. Usually this is within 48 hours of beginning the roof, or right when we begin the roof if we can coordinate with our suppliers.

We work long hours in the summer months, from seven to sundown if you are okay with that. If you need us to be off the property by five or to work only on the weekends we can usually accommodate that as well.

The jobsite will be cleaned at the end of each day, but sometimes in can be stressful to see your home with half of its roof torn off! Just know that we are always ready for the rain, and felt paper and tarps can keep a roof water-tight for up to ninety days. So, even if the process is interrupted for a day or two due to rain, water will be kept out of your home.

After we are finished we do a final inspection with you and make sure that everything is as we agreed before the project. We are also aligned with a variety of other contractors, so if after the project you decide you want new paint, landscaping, or concrete work, do not be afraid to ask!
