Who is Portland's Roofing Contractor?
C.D. Northwest was originally founded by Dave Peterson and Tim Harless in 1990. The business operated for a number
of years doing commercial and residential work in the Portland Metro area roofing industry. During that time Dave's son,
Chris started helping out during the summer on company jobs, cleaning up job-sites, tearing off roofs, and general cleanup.
He attended University of Oregon, and earned his degree in Business Administration. While in school he started a small
painting business to learn the basics of running and operating a small construction business. Meanwhile in Portland,
C.D. Northwest was absorbed by one of the leaders in the roofing market, and for a short period of time the company was
closed. After traveling the world and working a variety of jobs ranging from bartender to stock broker Chris decided it was
time to reopen his father's old company. In early 2009 C.D. Northwest was again open for business.
